Martin Clunes - Behaving Reunion

Martin Clunes has revealed he would be ready for a Men Behaving Badly reunion.

However, the Doc Martin star has doubts about how they could reprise their roles as flatmates Gary and Tony and Gary's girlfriend Dorothy.

"There was talk of it a few years ago but Caroline wasn't keen and it'd be nonsense to do it without everyone - I thought it would have been fun the last time," he said.

The actor added: "I think it might be a bit seedy, bit worrying when you get too old to play it like that. I don't know, maybe one day [we'll reunite on screen]."

"I see a lot of Caroline because she lives near us and our daughters are pretty much the same age so they're great friends," he added.

Autistic Children Produce Channel 4 Show

Channel 4 has commissioned a four-part series in which nine autistic children will work together to produce their own variety show, to be performed at a West End theatre.

Young, Autistic and Proud is being made by Love Productions, and will feature the families of the nine children, who come together to help the youngsters in their mission.

Simon Dickson, deputy head of documentaries, said: “Channel 4 has a long tradition of broadcasting programmes about the challenges faced by people with autism. This series, with its emphasis on life-enhancing transformation, takes that commitment to a new level. Uniquely, it’s all about what the autistic children can achieve, not what they cannot. It’s a powerful, inspiring watch.”

George Gently

Picture from BBC

Martin Shaw returns to BBC One as the classic unsung hero detective in Inspector George Gently, with two feature length films written by Peter Flannery  and Jimmy Gardner for BBC One.

The year is 1966, and the football World Cup has come to England, Blow Up and Born Free are playing in the cinemas, the Labour Party under Harold Wilson wins the General Election, the Moors murderers are found guilty and The Beatles begin recording sessions for their landmark Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album – all of which act as the perfect nostalgic and colourful backdrop for Inspector George Gently.

For the first time, Inspector George Gently is to be made on location in the North East of England, in and around the city of Durham: setting the series firmly where Peter Flannery has written it.

Peter Flannery said: "A writer gets a particular thrill from writing about the time and place which formed him. In my case the North East of England in the 1960s.

"It's now 15 years since the BBC filmed Our Friends In The North in and around Newcastle, so it's especially rewarding for me to be back on my home patch. Fun though it was to film the earlier series in Dublin, I've long wanted the stories to unfold in the landscape in which they are truly set.

"I'm coming home again – and I'm bringing Inspector George Gently with me."

Biggins To Judge On Touring Ice Show

Christopher Biggins is to judge the Dancing On Ice live tour.

The panto star, who won I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2007, has never competed in the TV skating show and showed he was a terrible dancer when he took part in Let's Dance For Comic Relief last year.

But he and ex-rugby player Kyran Bracken, winner of Dancing On Ice in 2007, will join TV judges Karen Barber and Nicky Slater on the judging panel when the 25-date tour begins in Sheffield on April 8.

Headlining the tour, along with Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, will be former Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon, who is the bookmakers' favourite to win this year's show, The Inbetweeners' Emily Atack, Boyzone's Mikey Graham, The Bill's Gary Lucy and previous finalist Clare Buckfield.

They join former winners Gaynor Faye and Ray Quinn and ex-finalist Chris Fountain, touring venues around the UK throughout April and May.

The format of the tour is the same as previous years and as in the hit ITV1 show, the audience will be able to use their mobile phone to text vote for their favourite dancing couple.

The votes will then be added to the scores from the judges to decide the winner. Once the votes have been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner to perform a finale.
