  Crufts

Channel 4 has announced that it will continue to broadcast Crufts until 2022.

Channel 4 has broadcast Crufts since 2010 and the new agreement extends the broadcaster’s relationship with the world’s most famous dog show to more than a decade.

And Channel 4 today also announced that it has agreed a new deal with independent production company Sunset+Vine that will see the indie continue to produce Crufts coverage for Channel 4. Sunset+Vine has produced Channel 4’s coverage of Crufts since it first aired on the channel in 2010.

Channel 4 Sports Commissioning Editor Joe Blake-Turner said: “Crufts is a unique event and clearly has a special place in the hearts of Channel 4 viewers and we’re thrilled to extend our relationship with the Kennel Club.”

New ITV Game Show

ITV has commissioned a new primetime game show called Rolling In It.

Presented by Stephen Mulhern, this game of chance sees three contestants play alongside some of their favourite celebrities in a bid to go home with a big cash prize.

But they will need to have luck on their side because everything could change at the roll of a coin.

Three teams - made up of the player and their celebrity partner - have to roll a coin down a moving conveyor belt towards slots which are labelled with large cash sums to win, though also ‘Bankrupt’ slots which mean the player loses everything.

As the game progresses, the money values get larger, and as a result, so do the penalties. In this game of luck and fierce competition, the roll of one final coin could determine whether the contestant loses everything or goes home ‘Rolling In It.’

Head of ITV Entertainment Commissioning, Siobhan Greene said: “The combination of Stephen, giant coins being rolled down the conveyor belt by celebrities and contestants hoping to win big, made for a pilot that was packed to the rafters with tension and laughs. The decision to go for a series was easy.”
