Strictly Special










EastEnders stars Ricky Champ, Louisa Lytton, Maisie Smith and Rudolph Walker OBE will be taking to the dancefloor alongside the Strictly professionals, as they go head to head to win the Pudsey Glitterball trophy for BBC Children in Need 2019. 

Presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the Strictly special will feature as part of the BBC Children in Need 2019 Appeal Night on BBC One on Friday 15 November. 

Ricky Champ said: “I am so excited to be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing EastEnders special. I’m looking forward to showing the world my moves. Bring it on!” 

Louisa Lytton said: “It feels like a lifetime ago since I did Strictly Come Dancing so I am beyond excited to put my dancing shoes back on and return to the famous floor. It’s for a fantastic cause which makes it all the more special.” 

Ricky will be dancing with Luba Mushtuk; Louisa will be dancing with Gorka Marquez; Maisie will take to the floor with Kevin Clifton and Rudolph will be partnered with Nancy Xu. The stars will compete in a group number, choreographed by former Strictly professional Trent Whiddon, in a bid to be crowned champions.

ITV has commissioned a fourth series of its quiz show Celebrity Catchphrase. 

The new 8×60’ season will see a number of celebrities participate in the popular game, in which contestants must identify well-known phrases with the help of visual clues, and will also include a Christmas Special. 

The latest instalment of the series was commissioned by Gemma John-Lewis at ITV and will be produced by Glasgow-based STV Productions.

Comedian Stephen Mulhern will once again be host.

Little Brexit










For the first time in almost ten years, Matt Lucas and David Walliams will reunite to bring Little Britain back to Radio 4, where it first broadcast in 2000.

A Brexit-themed special episode of Little Britain, called Little Brexit, will broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Thursday 31 October. The programme will catch up with many of Matt and David’s much-loved characters to see how the hottest topic of modern British history is affecting their lives. Characters appearing include Dafydd, Vicky Pollard, Emily Howard, Marjorie Dawes, Mr Mann, and Lou and Andy.

Joining Matt and David will be original cast members Ruth Jones and Anthony Head, as well as narrator Tom Baker.

Sioned Wiliam, Commissioning Editor for Radio 4 comedy, said: "Matt Lucas and David Walliams are uniquely talented writers and performers as well as one of the UK’s most loved comedy duos. It’s a privilege to have them back on Radio 4, where Little Britain first began almost 20 years ago."
