Craig Revel-Horwood

Craig Revel-Horwood has reportedly revealed that he has signed a new 12 month contract for Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, he said: "I have just signed for another year and I am looking forward to it. I have no intention of leaving.

"As I have said, the only reason I would only leave if I was told I could not speak my mind. I haven't been told that, so I am staying."

His decision to sign on for another year comes after he recently hit out at former head judge Len Goodman, after the 75-year-old dance expert admitted he feels the show has become too sexy and has lost its focus on classic ballroom and Latin.

New preview pictures show the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge teaming up with Mary Berry for a BBC One festive special this month.

The trio will be joined by Bake Off winner and presenter Nadiya Hussain to put together some Christmas meringue roulades.

The new photos also show Berry and the royals visiting charities including London’s The Passage, which provides support for homeless and vulnerable people.

Mary Berry said: “I am honoured that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have invited me to join them on four of their royal charity engagements this Christmas. It will be truly special to see the causes so close to their hearts, as well as to hear all about the amazing support these charities provide. The finale is a big Christmas party and I will be cooking up a feast for them to enjoy. A one hour Christmas special not to be missed.”

A Berry Royal Christmas airs on Monday 16 December at 20:30 on BBC One.
