ITV has shelved a documentary it was due to air about a non-league football club after police activity at its ground.

Cameras had been following Maldon and Tiptree FC in Essex as they got promoted to the seventh tier of English football in 2026.

But the fly-on-the-wall show - which was expected to air this month - was shelved on Thursday.

"ITV has decided to remove Up The Jammers from the upcoming schedule," a spokesman for the broadcaster said.

"It will no longer be shown on ITV4 or ITVX as previously advertised."

The six-part series had been advertised as showing the day-to-day running of the football club, which plays its games at the Drewitt-Barlow Stadium.

Its players include ex-West Ham United and Ipswich Town striker Freddie Sears.
